Homecoming Weekend Planned for October 4 - 5

Mount Union College will welcome alumni and friends to campus for Homecoming weekend, October 4 - 5.
The following events are planned:
Events on Saturday, October 4
20th annual Run-a-MUC 5K Race
Registration begins 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9 a.m. in front of the Timken Building
Campus Facilities Open Houses
Campus facilities will be open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Please stop by Bracy Hall, the new science facility, at the corner of S. Union Avenue and College Street.
For children 7 years and under following the 5K race. The race consists of one lap around Mount Union's track; each participant will win a prize.
National Cabinet of Mount Union Women
9:30 a.m. in the Alumni Room, Hoover-Price Campus Center. Coffee will be served at 9 a.m. All alumnae and friends are invited to attend.
Alumni Swim and Diving Reunion Meet
10 - noon in the Timken Pool. Please check the Mount Union athletics home page for further information: www.muc.edu.
Pre-Football Game Brunch
10:45 a.m. in the Kresge Dining Commons, HPCC. Tickets will be available at the door - adults $5.50, children under 12 $2.75. Advance reservations are not necessary.
Dedication of the Class of 2003 Gift
10:30 a.m. at the College lakes
Dedication of the New Black Cultural Center
10:30 a.m. at the Black Cultural Center, 243 Simpson St.
11 a.m. step-off at the HPCC parking lot
Annual Giving Special Gift Clubs Reception
11:30 a.m. in the Campus Grounds, HPCC. By invitation.
Young Alumni Reception

Alumni Association Tent
Prior to the football game near the Stadium. Balloons and spirit items will be distributed.
Football vs. Otterbein College
1:30 p.m. in Mount Union Stadium. Enjoy the Mount Union Marching Band, the Purple Raider Cheerleaders and MUCaw (the Purple Raider mascot). For football ticket information, please call 330-821-6759.

President Jack and Cynthia Ewing invite alumni, parents and friends to gather at the home of the president and family at 1304 S. Union Ave. following the football game for a tour and refreshments.

Men's Soccer vs. Wilmington College
7 p.m. in Mount Union Stadium
The Bookstore will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dr. Jack DeSario, professor of political science, will be available from 10 a.m. - noon for a book signing . His latest book, "Dr. Sam Sheppard on Trial: The Prosecutors and the Marilyn Sheppard Murder" was published in 2003 by Kent State University Press.
The Mount Union Office of Admission will be hosting a Fall Visitation Day. This fall's first theatre production will be "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams. The production, to be given October 2-4, will be directed by Dr. Doug Hendel, professor of theatre.
A Football Champions Reunion will be held at bw3s Grill and Pub by invitation only. The community is welcome to join at 6:15 p.m.
