Activities and Student Organizations
Students who choose to major in integrated media at the University Mount Union have ample opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom. By getting involved in these extracurricular opportunities and student organizations, you can strengthen your skills in communication and get valuable hands-on experience, both of which are critical to a successful career after graduation. All majors are encouraged to participate actively in the following activities and student organizations.
Raider Student Media is a student-led organization comprised of students working together to produce and maintain both WRMU and The Dynamo.
WRMU 91.1 FM is Mount Union’s student-led radio station. Located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center, the studio includes an on-air studio, three production studios, a newsroom and a student manager's office. Students have the opportunity to host their own radio show and hold leadership positions at the station.
The Dynamo is Mount Union’s student-led newspaper, and it is staffed and operated entirely by students under the supervision of a faculty advisor. Students have the opportunity to get involved by serving as a reporter, editor, designer, photographer, videographer or advertising executive.
Lambda Pi Eta Honorary is an undergraduate honor society for communication students in four-year colleges and universities.
