Intern Certified Athletic Trainer

The University of Mount Union is a NCAA Division III school and member of the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Job Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to; providing and/or facilitating medical care for the UMU student-athlete population, serving as the athletic trainer for assigned sports, responsible for event and practice coverage (including travel during weekends and evenings), responsible for keeping accurate and current medical records, assist in supervision of athletic training facility operations, injury prevention; injury evaluation; first aid and injury treatment and rehabilitation and other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer/Program Director.

Qualifications: Applicant should possess strong written and verbal skills along with the ability to multi-task. Applicant must be flexible, creative and resourceful. Must be NATABOC certified by start date, have current CPR certification and be licensed with the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board.

Dates of Position: August 1, 2014 through June, 2015

Compensation: Room and board, along with a monthly stipend of $1,200. 

The University of Mount Union (formerly Mount Union College), founded in 1846, is an accredited residential coeducational liberal arts university with 126 full-time faculty members and more than 2,150 students including minority and international students. Alliance is located near Canton, Akron and Youngstown and is approximately 60 miles southeast of Cleveland and 75 miles west of Pittsburgh.
