While taking Elementary Chinese, I had the opportunity to practice traditional Chinese calligraphy. This was my absolute favorite part of class because it shows that there is not only a difference in the way words are written (characters versus letters), but also a difference in the method of how the language is written. Calligraphy is a traditional part of Chinese history and culture, and being able to practice it myself made me respect that aspect of the Chinese culture even more. It is no easy feat to write using a calligraphy brush!
International Student Identification Card
The International Student Identification Card (ISIC) provides students with an alternative identification card for use. With the card, students are able to get discounts on museum admission fees, discounts on airfare, etc. A unique provision of the ISIC card is international insurance coverage. Download the information sheet to learn more about the ISIC Insurance Plans.
In order for your ISIC card order to be complete, you need to email Sarah Dellinger a passport style (head and shoulders) digital photo so that your ISIC card order can be processed. (This photo is needed as the ISIC is an ID card).
