International Student Life
The University of Mount Union understands that an important part of college is opening the mind and exploring as many different cultures and experiences as possible. That is why we are committed to bringing diverse populations of students to campus, including international students.
The international student experience at Mount Union includes a number of components – academics, extra-curricular activities, social events and community interaction. The University of Mount Union offers 24-hour support services and a full-time international student advisor. In addition, Mount Union assists international students when traveling home by providing free transportation from airports, buses and train stations at the beginning and end of each semester.
Organizations and special programs geared toward the concerns and interests of international students include the Association of International Students. This group is designed to bring American and international students together, creating lifelong friendships. In addition, the Community Friends Program and International Interactions Partner Program provide opportunities for international students to learn about American daily life and culture from people in the Alliance and surrounding communities.
The University of Mount Union offers an English as a Second Language program to international students not yet fluent in English, with credit being earned toward graduation. An international student application must be submitted for enrollment in the University and financial assistance is available for qualifying students.
