International Students Visit Niagra Falls
March 25, 2013
ALLIANCE, Ohio — Six international students from the University of Mount Union went on an overnight trip to Niagara Falls, New York over spring break.
While at the falls, students were able to visit Goat Island, an island between the American and Canadian Falls. They also went out on an observation deck, took a trolley around the park and went shopping.
“Everyone seemed to really enjoy the trip and liked having the opportunity to get off campus,” said Dawn Adams, trip advisor and assistant director of the Center for Global Education. “They enjoyed hearing the history, learning about the hydroelectric power and the history of the park.”
The trip was planned through the association of international students. Trips such as this have been offered before to Niagara Falls, New York City and Washington, D.C.
