Iota Tau Alpha Initiates New Members

In April 2012, the University of Mount Union’s Athletic Training Program had the honor of joining Iota Tau Alpha as the Beta Phi Chapter. The NATA recognizes Iota Tau Alpha as the National Honor Society for Athletic Training. Mount Union, along with approximately 60 other schools, is in this honorary from the pool of approximately 400 accredited undergraduate programs in the United States.
The club is run by athletic training students initiated into the club and nominated by their peers for higher positions. Currently, the club is run by President Maria Tassari, senior; vice president Heather Potts, senior; secretary Kaylah Nieschwitz, junior and treasurer Megan Saunders, senior. Advisor to the club is Morgan Cooper Bagley, instructor of human performance and sport business at Mount Union. On January 22, the Mount Union ITA Beta Phi Chapter initiated five new members. New members include Shane Brown, junior; Emily Rowe, junior; Chris Ifantiedes, sophomore; Jackie Leyva, sophomore and Kristen Cappelli, sophomore.
The honor society now has 15 members and is growing.
