IVOP to Present Advent Concert December 1

The Mount Union College gospel choir, Inspirational Voices of Praise (IVOP) will present an Advent concert on Saturday, December 1 at 6 p.m. in the Dewald Chapel.

The theme for the concert is 'Lux Luciat: Shine the Light!'

In addition to traditional spirituals and gospel numbers, the choir will be singing two Christian anasheed from the Islamic tradition, a sacred selection from the Iona Community of Scotland, a South African spiritual and an original composition featuring Dan Sladung, a member of the Navajo Nation on the Native American flute.

The concert is free and open to the public. Donations of canned or non-perishable food items will be accepted for distribution by a local food pantry.
