MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY

Why Mount Union
During my last two years in high school, I became very involved in the music and theatre department.  When I decided to enroll at Mount Union, it was practically inevitable that I would audition for the Concert Choir. Prior to my audition to join the Concert Choir, I had an audition for a music scholarship. After hearing that I was awarded a scholarship to sing in the choir, I knew that Mount was calling my name even louder than before.

Favorite Place
The MAAC is my favorite place on campus because I want to be a bodybuilder and love to work out.

Choir Involvement
The opportunities at Mount Union are amazing, especially within the choir. Choir has been one of the hallmarks in my college experience. It has been my biggest involvement and the majority of my friends have come from within the choir.

Making Music
Some of my greatest memories are not from any performance but from the rehearsals. The rehearsals are where the music is developed and where the choir develops as a whole and as individuals. Choir tour is also another great time for making memories because it is at the end of the school year, so there is no stress of exams or papers to be written. Everyone can just have fun and let loose while making music at the same time.

Preparation for Success
Mount Union has helped me build more confidence and professional connections and has also encouraged me to set higher goals for myself.

Hands-On Experience
My internship at Crandall Medical Center at Copeland Oaks has been my favorite hands-on experience, as it gives me the opportunity to talk to residents one on one to gain some experience.

Favorite Professor
Dr. Kevin Meyer is my favorite professor because his teaching method is very easy to understand and most of his classes have been in areas of psychology that interest me the most.

Liberal Arts
A liberal arts education is good for those who are unsure of what they would like to study and want to explore different areas of interest.

Life Goals
My ultimate dream in a nutshell would be to get my Ph.D. in psychology, live out west toward California, find a good career in the psychology field, progress in the sport of bodybuilding, get into acting, have three children and drive my dream car of a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7 with an amazing wife.
