Jared Shive to Present April 28 CLP Session

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Jared Shive ’05 will discuss Stark Parks at the Continued Learning Program (CLP) session at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28 in the East Room of the Hoover-Price Campus Center on the University of Mount Union’s campus.
Shive is a marketing specialist with the Stark County Park District. He is a native of Canton, Ohio and was a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School and a 2005 graduate of Mount Union with a degree in communication studies. Shive began his career at Stark Parks as an intern in 2005 is and now part of a marketing team responsible for promoting parks, facilities, trails, volunteer opportunities, wildlife rehabilitation and resource management efforts across Stark County.
He was a 2014 recipient of the ystark “Twenty Under 40!” award. He also plays trombone and performs with the Alliance Symphony Orchestra, the Canton Concert Band, the Musical Memories Orchestra and the Canton Comic Opera.
Shive is a member and treasurer of the Louisville Rotary Club and a member of the Louisville Public Library Citizens Advisory.
CLP sessions, which are all free and open to the public, include a variety of presentations and current perspectives, as well as time for questions and discussion. Those attending are welcome to stay for lunch in the Kresge Dining Commons ($6.75) or B&B Café (a la carte) following the session.
