Jazz Band to Perform April 24

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The University of Mount Union Department of Music will present a jazz band concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 in Campus Grounds in Mount Union’s Hoover Price Campus Center.
The band will be directed by Jeffrey Neitzke, lecturer of percussion. Selections include “Mambo No. 5” by Damasco Perez Prado, “Amanecer (Dawn)” by Jose Rizo, “Eva” by Kenny Goldberg and “Ran Kan Kan” by Tito Puente.
The steel band will also perform selections including “Bush Dance” and “Bird Boy” by Nana Vascancellos, “Ayko-Ayko,” a traditional work, “Trois Gymnopedies” by Erik Satie and “Somebody” by Timothy Watkins “Baron.”
