studentemployeebiggroup“I have benefited immensely from my work study experiences at the Bethany House,” said Lindberg. “Each day was a new experience and always something to look forward to. Having an opportunity to do something I enjoyed, many times I did not realize all of the life skills that I was learning in the process. Because of this job I am a better person and better prepared for the work that lies ahead of me. I am truly grateful for such a great experience.”

Each year, Mount Union recognizes the efforts of students employed through the Mount Union student employment programs. On an annual basis, the College employs over 1,000 students. These students make tremendous contributions to the College’s goal of meaningful work, fulfilling lives and responsible citizenship. studentemployeegroup

Departments on campus and community service agencies that employ Mount Union students were encouraged to nominate exceptional employees who significantly contribute to the College or agency.

Other students nominated by their supervisors were Emily Williams, Ashley Griffith, Jeremy Taylor, Tiffany Topper-Ewing, Maggie Miklos and Evan Trimmer.

Selection criteria for nominated employees are based on reliability, quality of work, initiative, and professionalism and uniqueness of contribution.

This award was granted in conjunction with National Student Employment Week April 14-18.
