MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY

Close relationships
I felt more comfortable at Mount Union than any other school I visited. I like how there are opportunities to connect and build professional and personal relationships with faculty members.

Beautiful building
My favorite place on campus is Bracy Hall of Science.  It’s a beautiful building and it has a lot of quiet spaces.

Geology as a major
I chose to major in geology at Mount Union because I felt like I could make a difference and save lives by learning how to predict earthquakes.

Favorite classes
I don’t have just one favorite class, I love all of them! Being well rounded was something my mother always told me is a favorable trait to have.

Favorite professors
I have two favorite professors at Mount Union. Dr. Bob Ekey, assistant professor of physics, helped me change the way I approach subjects that I aren’t my strong suit. Dr. Lee Gray, professor of geology, makes his classes interesting and is a friendly person.

Ultimate career goal
My ultimate dream job would be either serving as a college professor or working in the field of seismology. If I can’t enrich a college student’s experience or help him or her discover a love for geology, I want to research ways to predict earthquakes in an effort to make our world safer.
