Join Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center for a February Sky Walk
April 08, 2010
The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold a February Sky Walk on Saturday, February 23 from 7-9 p.m. Saturn and Jupiter still dominate the sky this month. For North American observers the most striking Moon meetings of the year occur in February. Saturn will nearly touch the gibbous Moon on the 20th, and Jupiter passes extremely close to the nearly full moon on the 23rd.
Matt Ferrel will again be our guide. Dress warmly, and remember the walk will be canceled if the sky is cloudy.
Registration is required. Call the Nature Center at (30) 823-7487 to register. The
Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off of Route 183.
