Join Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center for a Field Trip to "Woodcock Watch" at Quail Hollow
April 08, 2010
The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold a "Woodcock Watch" Field Trip to Quail Hollow on Friday, April 19.
We're joining Laura Dornan again at Quail Hollow to see what the woodcocks are doing. Woodcocks are best known for the spectacular flight displays. Once they have landed, their distinctive "peent" calls penetrate the silence of the evening or morning hours. Will we time it right to see the display? Join us to find out. Meet at Quail Hollow at 7:45 p.m. or at the Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center parking lot at 6:45 p.m. to caravan.
No registration is required. The Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183.
