Join Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center for a New Moon Sky Walk
April 08, 2010
The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold the first sky walk of the new year on Saturday, January 12 from 7-9 p. m.
For our first sky walk of the new year, we will take advantage of the dark of the moon to check out the night sky. Jupiter will be brilliant all winter and Mercury should be easily seen in the evening twilight. Conditions for viewing Saturn have not been so auspicious since 1973. After this year, the conditions will not be so good until the year 2030!
The walk will be canceled if the sky is cloudy. Registration is required. Call the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487 to register. The Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off of Route 183.
