Join Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center for "Winter Weeds"
April 08, 2010
The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will be holding "Winter Weeds," on Sunday, November 10 from 2 - 4 p.m.
We have all probably picked those "dried things" from fields or roadsides and brought them into the house as decorations. You may have even bought some! If you have ever tried to identify these plants, you probably had some trouble. You could try going back to where you found the plant, and hope to catch them when they bloom, but that takes more planning (or luck) than most of us have. Join Chuck McClaugherty and Patty Rickard as we use a "winter weed finder" guide to identify some of these plants. No registration is required.
Call the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487 for more details. The Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183.
