Join Nature Center for 'New Moon Star Walk'
January 4, 2005
The John T. Huston - Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold a 'New Moon Star Walk' on Sunday, January 9 from 8 ' 10 p.m.
Bundle up, because we are going out! The moon may be beautiful, but if you want to see stars, you wait until she is hiding. The darker the night, the more stars are visible. We will take advantage of the 'dark of the moon' and walk to our garden area to see what we can see in tonight's sky. Get those lawn chairs out of storage, and join us as we explore the map overhead. Don't forget to dress for the weather. The workshop will be cancelled if the sky is overcast.
Registration is required. The Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183. For more information, contact the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487.
