Join Nature Center for Book Discussion Group and 'Winter Botany'
April 09, 2010
The John T. Huston - Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center will hold a book discussion group on Saturday, January 29 from 9 ' 10 a.m. and 'Winter Botany' on Sunday, January 30 from 2 ' 4 p.m.
The book discussion group will be talking about John McPhee's book, 'The Control of Nature.' We have enjoyed bouncing ideas around in all our group discussions, and this one promises to be no different.
On Sunday, join the members of the Mount Union College botany class as they give us helpful hints on looking at plant life in its dormant state. Since most field guides deal with leaves and flowers, this time of year can be a real challenge. Are you up to it? Come find out.
No registration is required for either event. The Nature Center is located 6 miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183. For more information, contact the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487.
