Join the Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center for Project WET

April 09, 2010

Join the John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 to take part in Project WET.

That's Water Education for T eachers. It's a national program in the successful tradition of
Project Learning Tree and Project Wild. It's designed for people who work with children of all ages. It's a collection of innovative, water-related activities that are hands-on, easy to use and fun! Project WET activities incorporate a variety of formats, such as large and small group learning, whole body activities, laboratory investigations, discussion of local and global topics and involvement in community service projects. Developed, field tested, and reviewed by hundreds of educators and resource managers around the country, the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide is waiting for you. Bring a sack lunch, dress for the weather and join us for a fun-filled day. Your leaders will be Cheryl Mattevi, Patty Rickard, Karen Santee and Lin Wu.

Registration is required. Call the Nature Center at (330) 823-7487 for more details. The Nature Center is located six miles south of Mount Union College on Daniel Street, just off Route 183.
