Joint Junior Recital Slated for April 2

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Students at the University of Mount Union will showcase their musical talent in a joint recital program at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday April 2 in Presser Recital Hall at the University of Mount Union. 

During the recital, Nick Embrogno, a junior music education major of Malvern, Ohio, will perform pieces by Robert Schumann on the euphonium. Junior music education major Allison Bates of Minerva, Ohio will perform pieces by Philippe Gaubert and Bohuslay Martinu on the flute. Embrogno and Bates will perform a joint piece by Eric Ewazen. 

Both musicians will be accompanied by lecturer Brent Schloneger on the piano. Embrogno will be accompanied by junior music education and theatre major Alex Waitinas of Saratoga, California. 

The Joint Junior Recital is free and open to the public. Presser Recital Hall is located within Cope Music Hall on the corner of Union Avenue and Simpson Street on Mount Union’s campus.
