As Vice President of HWS Baseball, I help oversee our Minor League Baseball franchises as well as our company’s entertainment division. As General Manager of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, I manage all business operations with the team. I also oversee our player development contract with the Cleveland Indians.

MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY

Making the Right Choice
I knew from an early age I wanted to work in sports after graduating. While researching and visiting schools, I learned Mount Union had an excellent sport business program. I really enjoyed my on campus visit and after that, I knew Mount Union was the school for me.

Caring Faculty
I think the interest that the faculty takes in student’s success is unique. 

Favorite Professors
Who was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Kadlecek and Dr. Thoma. Both were instrumental in preparing me for my career through classes and mentorship.

Important Internship Experience
Yes, IMG in Cleveland. I found out about IMG through my sports business classes at Mount Union. I applied and was accepted into their summer internship program and it was instrumental in providing me with the real life job experience needed to work in sports.

On Campus Involvement
I was a brother in theAlpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Helpful Advice
Get as much experience as possible while in school that can prepare you for a full time position upon graduating. Internships and a good professional network are keys to getting a job upon graduation.

Diversity
I feel the diversity of classes needed to graduate helped me become a more well-rounded person. The classes and experiences I had at Mount Union greatly helped me in my professional and personal life.

Staying Connected
By working with Dr. Kadlecek and Dr. Thoma with the sports business program. I have helped out with class projects over the years and have been a trainer for the sport sales workshop sponsored by the University of Mount Union.

Future Goals
See the Cleveland Indians win a World Series.

Current Job
I enjoy the diversity that I have in my job. One day I will be working on baseball and another could be a concert and the next could be a community event at the stadium. No one day is alike with my job.
