JET information Session (October 10, 2014)
The Japanese program at the University of Mount Union invited a speaker from The Consulate-General of Japan in Detroit (Japan, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs) for the Japanese Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. Kelsey Forgen along with many other students attended the information session on October 10, 2014. The JET program is a job opportunity for college graduates to work in Japanese public schools, and assist Japanese teachers of English. Young Rhea, who works at The Consulate-General of Japan, explained the details about the JET program for Mount Union students during the session. During their last year at Mount Union, students can apply to and prepare to work for the JET program after graduating. The information session was a great opportunity for Mount Union students to learn about a unique opportunity that is available to them after the graduate.
