Kindermusik Now Registering for Fall Session

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Kindermusik, a music and movement program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and young children, is now registering for fall classes at the University of Mount Union.
Many researchers have focused their time in the ability of music to act as an agent for delivering a positive learning experience to children. Early and age-appropriate experiences with music, such as a Kindermusik program, can have a major impact on a child’s overall development. Music can influence a child’s language and literacy skills, social and emotional development, mathematics and pattern-recognition skills, ability to plan, guide and self-regulate behavior and overall music and vocal development.
The Kindermusik program is offered by Deborah Garren, music specialist and Kindermusik educator.
Moms, dads, caregivers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and kids are encouraged to be involved in classes.
Classes, open to children ages birth to seven years, will begin on September 2. Class times are as follows:
Village (birth – 18 months): Mondays 3:30 – 4:15 p.m., Feathers and Do-Si-Do;
Our Time (18 months – 3 years): Mondays 4:30 – 5:15 p.m., Wiggles & Giggles;
Imagine That (3 – 5 years): Mondays 5:30 – 6:15 p.m., See What I Saw
Young Child (5 – 7 years): Mondays 6:30 – 7:15 p.m., Young Child Semester 1
All classes will be held in Cope Music Hall, Room 109. Cost is $275 per child for a 15-week session and includes supplies. Up to 15 reservations per class session will be accepted.
