Lani Silver, Founder of Holocaust Oral History Project, to Speak at Mount Union

Lani Silver, historian, activist and founder and director of the Bay Area Holocaust History Project, will speak at convocation at Mount Union College on Thursday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. in the Dewald Chapel.

 

As executive director of the Bay Area Holocaust Oral History Project, she coordinated the gathering of 1400 interviews with Holocaust survivors and witnesses. She served as Steven Spielberg's chief consultant and interview trainer for his Holocaust oral history project, the Shoah Foundation for Visual History. Silver is currently the director of the James Byrd Jr. Racism Oral History Project, and she has completed 1240 interviews on racism in America.
