Lindsey Laret Named Assistant Director of the Center for Global Education
June 01, 2010
Lindsey (Rudibaugh ’06) Laret has been named assistant director of the Center for Global Education at Mount Union College.
Fluent in Spanish, Laret will be traveling to Latin America to represent Mount Union to potential students and maintain relationships with the institution’s study abroad partners.
A native of Lisbon, Ohio, she graduated summa cum laude from Mount Union in 2006, earning a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish with multi-age teacher licensure. She is expected to graduate from The University of Akron in August with a master of arts degree in higher education administration.
“Lindsey’s familiarity with Mount Union will shorten the learning curve which will allow her to make an immediate impact in both our services to our current students and the institution’s ability to open a new and vibrant market,” said Scott Slabaugh, director of the Center for Global Education.
Prior to joining the staff at Mount Union, Laret was a supervisor at World Market in Akron, Ohio and a Spanish teacher at Beaver Local High School, where she taught nearly 200 students all levels of Spanish. She is also a member of the National Association of International Educators (NAFSA).
