There are countless opportunities in the field of music. One could compose, perform in major ensembles or as a soloist or teach.

How will you use your degree upon graduation?
I hope to become a band director at the high school level. I want to go back to school and get my master’s and eventually my doctorate and teach at the collegiate level.

What activities are you involved in?
Kappa Kappa Psi, Mu Phi Epsilon, Ohio Collegiate Music Educators Association and various ensembles including the Mount Union Choir, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band.

What elements should a person possess in order to succeed in your major?

A person who wants to be a music education major should have the heart and passion that it takes to succeed.
