Manhattan Piano Trio to Perform at Mount Union College on November 16

The Manhattan Piano Trio (MPT) will perform a guest recital on Monday, November 16 in Presser Recital Hall at 8 p.m.
The Trio includes Milana Strezeva, piano; Wayne Lee, violin; and Dmitry Kouzov, cello. Both Strezeva and Lee have private studios in New York and Dmitry is an assistant professor of cello at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Each member of the MPT has earned degrees from the Juilliard School.
With more than 300 concerts in its first five seasons alone, the Trio is one of the most active groups in the classical music scene, welcomed by enthusiastic audiences in over 30 states, across three continents, and in venues such as Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall and the Ravinia Festival. Each member of the MPT is an award-winning soloist who has performed internationally, bringing their experience and virtuosity to all of their trio programs. Since its inception in 2004, the Trio has won grand prizes in the Plowman Competition and at the Yellow Springs Competition, runner-up at the Chesapeake Competition and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Listeners’ Choice Award in Melbourne.
The recital will include works by Joseph Haydn, Fryderyk Chopin, Johannes Brahms and Enrique Granados.
