Maria Antonieta Collins To Present Commencement Address at Mount Union College

Maria Antonieta Collins, one of the best known personalities on Spanish-language television, will present the address at the 161st Commencement ceremonies at Mount Union College on Sunday, May 6.

Collins is a top journalist and author of several books who possesses a unique charm that captivates viewers. With almost three decades of professional experience, she has received several awards for her work including the prestigious Emmy and Edward Murrow awards.
Collins is the host of the innovative morning program Cada Dia con Maria Antonieta which offers the latest news, entertainment and sports, as well as the tools that help Hispanics tackle the different obstacles of every day life. The show is aired nationally and internationally 6:30-9:30 a.m. eastern time through Telemundo/NBC networks.
Before joining the Telemundo/NBC team, Collins worked for 20 years in the Univision Television Network as anchorwoman of the weekend news and senior correspondent for the investigative show Aqui y Ahora, where she reported on numerous events around the world.
In her native Mexico, Collins was host and producer of different programs for Televisa Network where she also coordinated and produced the news program of Jacobo Zabludovsky for the ECO television network.
In addition to her work as a television correspondent, she writes an editorial column in the Mexican newspaper El sol de Mexico and is a successful author of five books, including top-sellers.
Mount Union's 161st Commencement ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. on May 6. The ceremony is preceded by the annual Baccalaureate ceremony at 10 a.m.
