- Major: Marketing
I chose to attend Mount Union because of the small class sizes and the one-on-one attention students receive from professors. At the University, you aren’t just a number. Professors really care about you and your progress in and outside of the classroom. They also are really approachable and personable.
Marketing Internships and Hands-On Learning
Students who choose to major in marketing at Mount Union have ample opportunities to get “real-world” experience outside of the classroom. By getting involved in extracurricular opportunities and student organizations, you can strengthen your skills and knowledge of marketing, both of which are critical to career success.
Experiential learning opportunities will give you many chances to put classroom knowledge to work. These opportunities, which complement classroom learning, include:
- Project-driven coursework including the development of a comprehensive marketing plan for a real-world client
- Participation in BEST Program (Bringing Executives and Students Together)
- Study abroad experience
- Service-learning opportunities
- Independent research
- Research with faculty or student peers
- Research-based courses
American Marketing Association is a student-led organization on Mount Union’s campus, which offers students interested in advertising, sales, marketing research, public relations and other marketing-related professions with opportunities to interact with a variety of experienced practitioners. Chapter activities include volunteer projects, fund-raisers, networking events, workshops, guest speakers and site visits.
