I loved being able to be a student-athlete. I knew sports were important to me yet I valued getting a good education first and foremost, and Mount Union was able to provide me with that environment to pursue both.

MY EXCEPTIONAL STORY

Studying Science
I have so many interests, but I know that I really like science and like spending time outdoors. Environmental science allows for me to combine both of my interests.

Future Career
I would like to work in the field of restoration ecology. It would be amazing to one day lead a research team in remediating degraded ecosystems and making them functional and beautiful again.

Science is Cool
I really enjoyed my aquatic ecology class where we took several field trips (including to Put-In-Bay) and were able to make assessments on the quality of those ecosystems. In many of my science classes I can explore different biota and systems that are truly unique.

Sports and School
I loved being able to be a student-athlete. I knew sports were important to me yet I valued getting a good education first and foremost, and Mount Union was able to provide me with that environment to pursue both.

Lifetime bonds
I think Mount Union has this amazing sense of community that you can feel when you walk on campus. I’ve made some of my closest friends here and I know most students feel the same.
