Director, First Year Initiatives

Brian joined the University of Mount Union community in May 2017. Brian is a staff member in the Center for Student Success who is responsible for overseeing the University’s Preview, Orientation, and Exceptional Beginnings programs which are designed to support new first-year students and promote a successful transition to the University of Mount Union.

Brian is originally from Strongsville, Ohio. He attended Walsh University earning a B.S. in Biology (2007) and Clemson University in Clemson, SC, earning a M.Ed. in Counselor Education (2009). Prior to working at UMU, Brian worked in Residence Life at Syracuse University and most recently in Student Orientation & Family Programs at Stony Brook University.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as exploring all that the local area has to offer.

Julian is a native of San Diefo, CA and attended Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 2016 with a B.S. in Marketing. He is currently continuing his education at Kent State University, pursuing a Masters in Higher Education and Student Personnel. In his free time, Julian enjoys to play and listen to music, as well as explore the outdoors.
