Melonie Jurcevic Among First Students to Move into Hartshorn Apartments
April 13, 2010
Mount Union College is now offering more independent options for upperclassmen students, including townhouse style apartments on Hartshorn Street, and 'flat-style' housing on Union Avenue. Melonie Jurcevic, a rising senior and Assistant Resident Manager in the new apartments, was one of the first students to move in last weekend.
'I am really looking forward to having more independence, like not having to be on the meal plan, or worry about visitation hours, but I still have the convenience of living on campus and being close to classes and work' said Jurcevic. 'It is exciting to get to live here in the first year they're being offered, and it feels good, after three years of living in dorms to really feel like I have my own place!'
Jurcevic will soon be joined by three other upperclassmen, all of whom are looking forward to finally having a place to live that they can call their own.
The college will be offering an open house for interested community members to view the recently constructed apartments on Mount Union's campus on Monday, August 20 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. One unit of the Hartshorn Village apartments and one unit of the Union Village apartments will be open to the public.
