Mount to Host Panel on the Legalization of Marijuana

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union’s Department of Political Science and International Studies, the Pre-Law Society and the Mount Union chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta will host a panel on Issue 3, the legalization of marijuana, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 29 in Chapman Hall Room 110.
This event is open to the public and will feature four speakers; Michael Uth,Dr. Wilson Huhn, Dr. Dave Mungo and Dr. Carl Foster.
Uth is a board member of the American Civil Liberties Union. He obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from Emory University. Uth is a senior lawyer and manager for Progressive Insurance’s Law Department and is passionately committed to reforming drug policy in the U.S. based upon science, reason, compassion and respect for human rights.
Huhn is the director of the Constitutional Law Center at the University of Akron. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell University. He has written many articles regarding constitutional law issues and the two-volume book, “American Constitutional Law.”
Mungo is the chairman of the Department of Surgery at Alliance Community Hospital. He earned a medical degree from the University of Rochester. He completed his internship and residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
Foster is a physician at Alliance Community Hospital. He has been in practice for 28 years and is one of five doctors at Alliance Community Hospital who specialize in anesthesiology. He earned a medical degree from Temple University.
