Mount to Host Panel on Marijuana Legalization

ALLIANCE, Ohio— The legalization of marijuana will be discussed by a panel of professionals at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 in Chapman Hall, Room 202 on the University of Mount Union’s campus.
The panel is being presented by the Department of Political Science and International Studies in conjunction with Alpha Lambda Delta and the Prelaw Society.
The panel, “Marijuana Legalization: Its Social and Legal Implications,” will include speakers Wilson Huhn, Michael Uth and John D. Ferrero.
Huhn is the Director of the Constitutional Law Center at the University of Akron. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell University. He has written many articles regarding constitutional law issues and the two-volume book, “American Constitutional Law.”
Uth is a Board Member of the American Civil Liberties Union. He obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from Emory University. He is a senior lawyer and manager for Progressive Insurance’s Law Department and is passionately committed to the reform of drug policy in the U.S. based upon science, reason, compassion and respect for human rights.
Ferrero is the Prosecuting Attorney for Stark County. He has handled thousands of criminal cases in his 25 years of experience, the last 10 as the elected Prosecutor for Stark County. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dayton and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Ohio Northern University.
