Mount Union Adds Research Indexes

ALLIANCE, Ohio — The University of Mount Union has added several new athletic training research indexes for student use.

The following are research indexes that have been added:

A.D.A.M. ­– This is the most comprehensive anatomy teaching tool, which includes detailed graphics, precision accuracy and advanced functionality. The index includes a multimedia encyclopedia, a new library of 3D images and more than 3,000 new illustrations for teaching clinical concepts.

Gross Anatomy Dissector – The Suarez Dissectormakes the teaching and learning of all anatomy possible in a rigorous yet approachable manner. Anatomy is presented precisely as a first-year medical student encounters it, dissects it and is assessed on it. Each module ends with a set of interactive flash cards to help students assess their knowledge of the structures presented in that module.

WebExercises – This technology allows healthcare providers to use the web to reduce costs, increase time efficiency and significantly improve patient exercise compliance. WebExercises promotes more frequent and proper form of all prescribed rehabilitation and corrective exercises, resulting in improved recovery.
