Mount Union Alumna, Employee Named Twenty Under 40

Gina (Dominick ’96) Bannevich, director of marketing at the University of Mount Union, is amongst the twenty young professionals chosen to be a part of ystark!’s 2011 Twenty under 40! class.
ystark!, a department of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, is a program dedicated to bringing Stark County's young professionals together through networking, social and cultural events, community involvement and professional development, with the goal of attracting and retaining young professionals in the area.
At Mount Union, Bannevich is responsible for all marketing efforts including research, strategy implementation, analysis of return on investment and branding. She creates and implements advertising and promotional strategies and serves as the point of contact for trademarking and licensing.
Prior to joining the staff at Mount Union, Bannevich was the marketing director for Mix 94.1 FM and News Talk 1480 WHBC AM in Canton, Ohio and the tourism marketing manager at the Canton/Stark County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. She is a member of the American Heart Association Go Red for Women, Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival and the Golden Key for Exceptional Children fundraiser committee.
The Dennison native earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Mount Union in 1996 and received certification in sales-focused marketing from the Office of Corporate and Community Services from Kent State University – Stark Campus in 2004.
Bannevich will be recognized Tuesday, June 7 at the annual Twenty under 40! event at the former Onesto Hotel in Canton.
