Mount Union Alumnus to Perform March 28

Christian Secrist, a 1998 graduate of Mount Union and saxophonist, will perform at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28 in Presser Recital Hall.
 
Secrist will be accompanied by Soo Jung Lee on the piano. He will perform pieces by Paule Maurice, Alfred Desenclos, Benjamin Britten and Claude Debussy.
 
Secrist is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in saxophone performance at The Ohio State University, and he also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Ohio Dominican University and Ohio Wesleyan University. From 2003 to 2010, he served as the director of instrumental music at Tiffin University. He earned a Master of Music degree from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mount Union. He resides in Columbus with his wife, Beth, and their daughter, Corinne.
 
Soo Jung Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. She came to the United States in 2005 to pursue her master’s degree in piano performance at Florida State University under Karyl Louwennar. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at The Ohio State University under Steven Glaser.
