Mount Union Announces 2009 Homecoming Queen and King Candidates

Mount Union College recently announced the 2009 Homecoming court.

The candidates for Homecoming Queen include Sarah Cleveland, Sara Daley, Kelsey Lancy, Gina Serluco and Alex Ulbricht. The candidates for Homecoming King include Rob Arnold, Chris Bondra, Aaron Boothby, Logan Erwin and Alfred Wilson.

The 2009 Homecoming Queen and King will be crowned during halftime of the Mount Union College vs. Baldwin-Wallace football game on October 3.

Cleveland, a senior exercise science major of Westlake, Ohio, is the president of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, exercise science club and an Association of Women Students Big Sister.

Daley, a senior middle childhood education major of New Philadelphia, Ohio, is president of Delta Sigma Tau sorority, vice president of National Science Teachers Association, an assistant resident director, an active member of Blue Key honorary, Student National Education Association, Alpha Lambda Delta, Emerging Leaders, Student Activities Council and Kappa Delta Pi, is historian for GAMMA, a Student Senate representative and an advancement ambassador.

Lancy, a senior psychology major of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is the vice president of chapter relations and standards for Alpha Chi Omega sorority and a member of Blue Key honorary, Order of Omega and Psi Chi. She also was the former president of Alpha Lambda Delta and former historian of the Psychology Club.

Serluco, a senior middle childhood education major of Boardman, Ohio, is the director of standards and ethics for Alpha Delta Pi sorority, senior class treasurer, an LS 100 mentor assistant, a member of the After Hours Program, MC3 (Midwest Campus Compact Citizens) Fellowship Program, Alpha Phi Omega, Alpha Lambda Delta, Student Senate, Dowling Mentor Program, Sigma Tau Delta, CHOICES, GAMMA, Order of Omega, Project Inspire, Association of Women Students and Student Activities Council. She was also a member of Sophomore Service, former president of Kappa Delta Pi, former president of the Student National Education Association and advancement ambassador.

Ulbricht, a communication major of Louisville, Ohio, is the social vice president of Alpha Phi Omega, a member of MC3 (Midwest Campus Compact Citizens) Fellowship Program, Blue Key honorary, Alpha Lambda Delta, Lambda Pi Eta, Alpha Mu Gamma, Association of Women Students, serves as a Preview and Orientation guide and is employed by the Mount Union College Student Center. She was also a member of Sophomore Service, editor of the Unonian, Dynamo and a director of WRMU 91.1. FM.

Arnold, a senior music education major of Berea, Ohio, is the vice president of CHOICES, treasurer of Student Activities Council, a member of the Mount Union marching band, choir, Kappa Kappa Psi, Academic Policies Committee, Student Safety Sub-Committee, Ohio Music Education Association and Sigma Theta Epsilon. He also has been involved with Relay for Life.

Bondra, a senior accounting and economics major of Mentor, Ohio, is a member of the men’s soccer team, baseball team, College Republicans and serves as a Preview and Orientation guide, a community educator and vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Council.

Boothby, a senior political science major of Wooster, Ohio, is the president of Phi Alpha Delta, vice president of College Republicans, a delegate for Interfraternity Council, a member of Blue Key honorary, Campus Crusade for Christ, Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, Raider Programming Board, Religious Life Council, Student Conduct Board and serves as a community educator. 

Erwin, a senior political science and psychology major of Wooster, Ohio, is the senior class president, a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, Alpha Lambda Delta, Pre-Law Society, Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, Student Senate and serves as treasurer of the Psychology Club. He was also a former president of Sophomore Service and past treasurer of Model UN.

Wilson, a senior accounting major of Cleveland, Ohio, is the president of the Black Student Union, a member of the Dowling Mentor Program, Accounting Club and co-chairman of “Not Another Statistics Conference” and serves as a community educator.
