Mount Union Celebrates With End-of-Year Picnic
May 8, 2007
Nearly 300 members of the Mount Union College community gathered together for a spontaneous, celebratory end-of-year picnic today.
Held on the south patio of Campus Grounds at the Hoover-Price Campus Center, the picnic-style lunch provided one last opportunity for the members of the Mount Union family to come together in fellowship and celebration.
'We had a glorious end to the academic year this Sunday with outstanding Baccalaureate and Commencement Services,' said Dr. Richard F. Giese, president of the College. 'A successful commencement weekend and a great academic year only happen because of the hard work of the Mount Union community.'
The picnic-style lunch included hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill, baked beans, salads, fresh fruit and desserts. President Giese and members of the administration helped to serve the food.
