Mount Union Celebrates Women’s History Month

ALLIANCE, Ohio —The University of Mount Union will celebrate National Women’s History Month in March with a number of activities.
Throughout the month of March, the University will host various activities to highlight and celebrate influential women.
On March 20, the Women’s History Planning Committee will host slam poet Gina Lorring. She will begin at 7 p.m. in Campus Grounds.
At 7:30 p.m. on March 25, Mount Union’s Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement will host the Celebration of Women Panel in the East Room of the Hoover Price Campus Center. The event will include a panel of speakers featuring women who have chosen a career in public service. The speakers will include Hope Rummel of the Alliance Police Department, Kathleen Bauer of the Alliance Fire Department, State Representative Christina Hagan, Alliance councilwoman Julie Jakmides and Alliance law director Jennifer Arnold.
