Mount Union Class of 2014 Reports Success in Attaining Jobs

ALLIANCE, Ohio – An impressive percentage of 2014 Mount Union graduates have indicated success in their search for degree-related careers or graduate school attendance.

Each year, the University’s Office of Career Development conducts an annual follow-up study on the graduating class from the prior year. The Post-Graduation Report details where Mount Union graduates have landed within the first year following Commencement. With 87% of the Class of 2014 self-reporting, 99% of graduates reported securing a degree-required job or graduate school placement in an average of 38 days after graduation.

Members of the Class of 2014 obtained positions with numerous reputable and well-known organizations including Aultman Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism, PR Newswire, ESPN Cleveland, Sherwin-Williams, Department of State, Diebold, Ernst & Young and HP Products. Top career fields for the Class of 2014 include education, sport business, accounting, criminal justice, marketing, exercise science, management, public relations, engineering, human resources and computer science.

Many 2014 graduates have gone on to pursue graduate study at a variety of impressive colleges and universities throughout the country, with 89% gaining admittance to their first choice institution. Top graduate programs for Mount Union alumni include law, physician assistant, psychology, social work, exercise science and public health.

Over the course of the past decade, Mount Union graduates have self-reported exceptional success in their searches for careers and graduate school acceptance, with an average success rate of 97% for the graduating classes of 2005 through 2014.
