Mount Union College's Dr. James Perone to Present Faculty Recital

Dr. James Perone, associate professor of music at Mount Union College, will present a faculty clarinet recital on Wednesday, April 3 at 8 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

This is Dr. Perone's 15th solo recital at Mount Union College. The program will include works by Dr. Perone, Paul Jeanjean, Leonard Bernstein, Michael Kallstrom, William Presser, and Darius Milhaud.

Dr. Perone received a bachelor's degree in music education from Capital University and master's degrees in clarinet performance and music theory and a doctorate degree in music theory from the State University of New York in Buffalo. He has been a member of the Mount Union College faculty since 1994.

Dr. Perone will be assisted by pianist Nicole Lee, staff accompanist and instructor of music at Mount Union. She holds degrees in piano performance from the University of Southern California and has been with the College since 2001.

Dr. Perone has presented guest artist recitals at the College of Wooster and

Bowling Green State University and has been a soloist with various educational and regional orchestras. He was a 1992 soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
