Mount Union College's WRMU Radio to Host Benefit Concert

On Wednesday, April 18, WRMU's Monday Night Varieties show will present 'Angels for Animals Hits the Airwaves.'

The benefit concert will feature local bands Our Untold Truth and Center Lane as well as artist Sean Benjamin.

Band members of Our Untold Truth are Jeff Fosnight on lead vocals and guitar, Matt Deterich on bass guitar, Dustin Ford on acoustic guitar and Mount Union alumnus Dan Russel on drums. Our Untold Truth songs include Wishful Thinking, Pretty Day, Left Behind and I'm Okay.

Center Lane members are Travis Rue on vocals and bass, Aaron Giua on drums and Tyler Rue and Jim Shankle on guitar. Music by Center Lane includes 1 1 Yellow, No Left Jabs and Chicago is for Haters.

Sean Benjamin is originally from Solon, OH. His music includes Chain Reaction, The One, Tenth Month and Danger to Sobriety.

Monday Night Varieties (MNV), hosted by Angel Ackerman and Megan Smuckler, is an after-10 p.m. program on WRMU 91.1 FM. MNV features local bands and artists as well as music from the 80s, 90s and today. Along with the artists featured in the benefit concert, MNV has hosted guests such as The Rydells, Saving Jane, Made In Canada, Holly Spears and Cindy Crawford's Little Sister.

The concert will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the Mount Union Theatre. There will be a $1 donation at the door.

All proceeds will go to Angels for Animals of Canfield, an organization that takes in stray animals, cares for them and arranges for their adoption.
