Mount Union College Alumni and Friends Traveled to Virginia

Mount Union College alumni and friends had the opportunity to convene for a two-day bus trip to Danville, VA to support the Purple Raiders as they kicked off the 2006 football season against the Averett University Cougars.

On Friday, September 1 alumni and friends departed from the College's Hoover-Price Campus Center for an eight hour bus trip and Friday evening they had dinner with area alumni at the Institute of Higher Education. Saturday, September 2 they supported the Purple Raiders against the Cougars.

'This was one of many bus trips, but our very first to Danville, VA.' said Anne Graffice, director of alumni and college activities at Mount Union College. 'We had a spirited group with a mixture of familiar and new faces of parents, alumni and friends.'

The Mount Union Purple Raiders defeated Averett University Cougars with a final score of 64 to 7.
