Mount Union College Announces New Director of College Advancement for Gift Planning

Dave S. Wolpert has been named director of college advancement for gift planning at Mount Union College announced James Piatt, Jr., vice president for college advancement.
In his new role, Wolpert is one of the College's primary fund-raisers and will provide strategic direction and design to the planned giving program, including the establishment and execution of an annual plan for planned giving.
"Dave Wolpert will certainly be a great asset to the Office of College Advancement and Mount Union as a whole," said Piatt. "As an alumnus, he has a long-standing history with the institution and has devoted himself to the betterment of the College throughout the years. In addition to his outstanding commitment to Mount Union, he is an involved member of the Alliance community and a strong advocate for education at all levels."
Wolpert comes to Mount Union from Charter One Bank, Cleveland where he was the lending manager for Eastern Ohio. Prior to his employment at Charter One, he served as a lending manager at First American Savings Bank in Canton, a loan originator and director of training at Midland Buckeye Savings and Loan in Alliance and a social studies teacher and assistant varsity football coach for United Local Schools.
A 1969 graduate of Mount Union, Wolpert earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology.
Wolpert is an involved member of the Alliance community, serving as treasurer of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity Home Company, being involved in efforts supporting Marlington Local School District bond issues and levies, and holding membership in the Alliance Country Club, Green YMCA, St. Joseph Catholic Church and various builder and realtor associations.
He previously served on the President's Advisory Board and Alumni Council at Mount Union, on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Canton YMCA and Alliance Country Club, as president of the Marlington Athletic Booster Club and as a member of Kiwanis Club.
