Mount Union College Celebrates Combined Alumni Weekend and Homecoming

Mount Union College was once again Bringing it all Together with a fun-packed weekend of activities in celebration of Alumni Weekend and Homecoming.
The weekend kicked off on Friday, October 17 with a Street Fair featuring music, a magician, clown, food vendors and more outside Bracy Hall leading up to fireworks at dusk over the Campus Lakes. Also on Friday evening, the annual Mr. MUC Competition was held in the Mount Union Theatre.
On Saturday, the 24th Annual Run-A-MUC 5k Race and 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk was held. For children 7 years and under, there was a Kid’s Race following the Run-A-MUC. This race consisted of one lap around the track and each participant won a prize. The Homecoming Parade stepped off from the Hoover-Price Campus Center after the race.
Camp MUCaw, offered a day full of fun and activities for children ages 3-10 and the 4th Annual Carnival was held in the Field House featuring booths of games, a bounce house and slide, cotton candy, popcorn, music and more for children of all ages.
The Alumni Awards Luncheon honored the recipients of the Dodie Davis Alumni Service, the McKinley Fellow and Young Alumni Awards.
The Mount Union Women met in the West Room of the Campus Center, Alpha Xi Delta held an open house at the chapter house and the Black Student Union Welcome Reception was held at the Black Cultural Center following the Purple Raiders football game vs Heidelberg.
The Alumni Party for all reunion years was held at the Alliance Country Club. Reunion years celebrating special reunions include the classes of ’43, ’48, ’53, ’58, ’63, ’68, ’73, ’78, ’83, ’88, ’93, ’98 and ’03.
