U.S. News and World Report

Mount Union was ranked 16th out of the 270 comprehensive colleges located in the Midwest. Mount Union was also ranked ninth in the "best values" section of the rankings. To determine the rankings, "U.S. News and World Report" tallied the results of surveys of college presidents, deans and admissions directors. These surveys combined with educational data provided by the colleges themselves resulted in the rankings. Colleges and universities were ranked according to: academic reputation, student selectivity, faculty resources, financial resources, retention rate and alumni giving.
For twelve consecutive years, the editors of "U.S. News and World Report" have affirmed that Mount Union College is among the best comprehensive colleges in the region, said Dr. John L. Ewing, Jr., president of Mount Union College. "While this isn't news to us, the positive findings of an external review reassure us that we are providing a high quality educational experience for our students."
