Mount Union College Collects Donations for Food Pantry at Annual Community Day

Mount Union College held its 19th annual Community Day on Saturday, October 16.

Purple Raider football fans exchanged canned goods for tickets to the Mount Union vs. Marietta game on Saturday, October 16.

Anyone bringing a canned good to the game was admitted free to the Mount Union vs. Marietta College football game, held in Mount Union Stadium.

Volunteers collected fives boxes of canned goods, which were donated to an area food pantry. Val Scharf, a sophomore from Brooklyn, Ohio, and Jeffery Legan, a sophomore from Brookpark, Ohio, helped collect the cans. They were representing Alpha Phi Omega, Mount Union's national service fraternity.
