Mount Union College Convocation Presents Author Robert Sylwester

Robert Sylwester, author of "A Biological Brain in A Cultural Classroom," will present a convocation at Mount Union College at 10:35 a.m. Thursday, December 6 in the Mount Union Theatre.
Sylwester is an emeritus professor of education at the University of Oregon. He has written several books and numerous journal articles focusing on the educational implications of new developments in science and technology. In addition to "A Biological Brain in A Cultural Classroom," Sylwester is the author of "Student Brains, School Issues."
He has been awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award by the Education Press Association of America in both 1993 and 1994 for his syntheses of cognitive science research, published in Educational Leadership. Sylwester writes a monthly column for the Internet magazine, Brain Connection (www.brainconnection.com).
The convocation is free and open to the public.
